Congratulations on receiving your development consent! Now that you have secured it, what comes next? Before you can begin constructing your dream home, there are essential steps to follow, with obtaining a Construction Certificate (CC) being one of the most critical.

We know how important your dream home is to you, so we've created this next series to equip you with the knowledge on the next stage to turn that dream into reality! Get ready for an overview of what awaits you—let's embark on this journey together!

Part 1: C - Certificate Acquisition
Secure your Construction Certificate (CC) from either your local council or an accredited private certifier to approve your building plans and specifications.

Part 2: E - Engage a Principal Certifying Authority
Appoint a Principal Certifying Authority (PCA) to oversee the construction process. This role can be filled by your council or an accredited certifier, ensuring compliance with regulations.

Part 3: R - Required Notification
Notify both the council and your PCA at least two days before commencing any construction work. This ensures all parties are prepared for the start of the project.

Part 4: T - Task Completion
Complete any preliminary tasks or works specified in the 'Prior to commencing work' section of your development consent, ensuring all conditions are met before breaking ground.
